31 Days - Day 28

Be a STRONG FINISHER!!! Give it all you've got! Sometimes we're ready to give just before we reach our goals. That little extra push forward can make the difference between finisher strong or not finishing at all. 2 Corinthians 8:10-12 (NLT) Here is my advice: It would be good for you to finish what you started a year ago. Last year you were the first who wanted to give, and you were the first to begin doing it. Now you should finish what you started. Let the eagerness you showed in the beginning be matched now by your giving. Give in proportion to what you have. Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have. Here's a little clip from " Facing the Giants " that shows what it means to give it every ounce of you strength - give it all you've got. Make the most of every opportunity...Ephesians 5:16

31 Days - Day 26

I will meditate in thy precepts.  Psalm 119:15   There are times when solitude is better than society, and silence is wiser than speech. We should be better Christians if we were more alone, waiting upon God, and gathering through meditation on his Word spiritual strength for labour in his service. We ought to muse upon the things of God, because we thus get the real nutriment out of them . Truth is something like the cluster of the vine: if we would have wine from it, we must bruise it; we must press and squeeze it many times. The bruiser’s feet must come down joyfully upon the bunches , or else the juice will not flow; and they must well tread the grapes , or else much of the precious liquid will be wasted. So we must, by meditation , tread the clusters of truth , if we would get the wine of consolation there from. Our bodies are not supported by merely taking food into the mouth, but the process which really supplies the muscle, and the nerve, and ...

Day 25 - God's Great Love

For today’s post I decided to "unpack" Psalm 36:7. This is part of the blog hop in  Proverb's 31 "A Confident Heart" Study . Also. part of my 31 days blogging challenge. How priceless is your unfailing love, O God! People take refuge in the shadow of Your wings. Psalm 37:6 Priceless - having value beyond price, invaluable. Unfailing - constant, everlasting, inexhaustible, sure. Love - ultimate expression of God's loyalty, purity and mercy extended toward His people. Refuge - shelter or protection from danger or distress. Shadow - shelter from danger. The abundance of God's love is poured out on all those who love and know Him - a personal, intimate relationship with Him. His Love for us in seen in His faithfulness, His justice, His deliverance and His abundant provision. See:  Verse Mapping . Have a great day and happy blogging!
