I Am Thankful




As we celebrate this Thanksgiving with family, friends and loved one; I just want to say how thankful I am for each and every one God has placed in my life ā€“ wonderful family and friends. Some for a reason, others for a season, nevertheless I am forever thankful and I love each of you dearly. Our lives overflow with things to be thankful for, and because God gives us the eyes to see how incredibly we have been blessed. He is good; His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 5:13). Look around ā€“ the list of things we have is much longer than the things we don't. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15) Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5:18)


Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:19-20)
 

 One week ago today, I said good-bye to my sweet little friend Phoenix. Although, it was most painful; I am over-joyed by all the happy memories and joy he brought into our lives. I miss him terribly but I am so thankful for the almost 15 years we got to share with him. He was loved by everyone. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised. (Job 1:21) O Lord my God, I will give thanks forever. (Psalm 30:12)

I will praise the Lord with everything within me and I will not forget all His blessings and benefits. I will praise His Holy Name. Amen! (Psalm 103:2)

All That is Within Me

If you are like me and have an iPhone, you've probably spent the last couple days trying to figure out all the updates. If you have more than one Apple device, such as an iPad, you've spent even more time updating it as well. Or maybe that's on your to-do list for today (or tomorrow). It's not a quick update, it takes a fair amount of time; then once you update, you've got to reset a few things. So, that got me to thinking, have I spent the same amount of time alone with God, reading His Word, reaching out to other believers, or witnessing to the lost? I must confess, my answer would have to be "no." God loves us so much, He rejoices when we call on Him, when we reach out to Him in prayer, and when we meditate on His Word. Good Friday

  Happy Good Friday   This is the day that we remember what Jesus did for us --- enduring beating, mocking, and being crucified.   I imagine his disciples did not consider it to be a ā€œgoodā€ Friday at the time.
