Guard Your Heart

Proverbs 4:23-27 (NLT)
    Guard your heart above all else,
    for it determines the course of your life.

24 Avoid all perverse talk;
    stay away from corrupt speech.

25 Look straight ahead,
    and fix your eyes on what lies before you.
26 Mark out a straight path for your feet;
    stay on the safe path.
27 Don’t get sidetracked;
    keep your feet from following evil.
Setting off on the path of wisdom is no casual thing. These scriptures reveal the constancy of heart and purpose, honesty in speech, steadiness of gaze and a right goal in our daily walk and in life.
The heart represents the center of emotions, thinking, and reasoning. The heart is crucial in the battle between wisdom and foolishness, between righteousness and evil. Our words originate in our hearts.

As Christ-Followers, our words should build up and not tear down. Breathe life into those around us and those that cross our paths.

Be blessed and be a blessing,
