“He has filled them with
skill to do all kinds of work as engravers, designers, embroiderers in blue,
purple and scarlet yarn and fine linen, and weavers—all of them skilled workers
and designers.” Exodus 35:35 (NIV) The end of this verse in the Message Bible
states, “They can make anything and design anything.”
God has given each one of us
with special talents and He wants us to use those talents to bring glory to Him
and to serve others. As a Christ-Followers to whom God had given knowledge we should
be willing to teach and communicate those talents to others, not coveting to
monopolize it. He wants us to share and not be selfish.
Create means to cause to
come into being, as something unique that would not naturally evolve or that is
not made by ordinary processes. Also,
to cause to happen; bring about; arrange, as by intention or design.
Creative means to have the power or quality of creating.
Creativity is the state or
quality or being creative; the ability to transcend traditional ideas, rules,
patterns, relationships, or the like, and to create meaningful new ideas,
forms, methods, interpretations, etc.; originality, progressiveness, or
imagination.
“Creativity is a
combination of discipline and childlike spirit.” ~ Robert Greene
My goal for this year’s
#Write31Day challenge is to share with you some of the places I’ve visited this
summer along with a few of the projects I have created, mostly photography, and
the tools I used to create them. A few of the tools and apps I use include:
Adobe Creative Cloud – Lightroom CC & Photoshop CC, Canva, Pic Monkey,
ColorStory, Adobe Spark, Pic Stitch, Photofy, just to name a few. After years
of using Photoshop Elements, I made the switch to Adobe Creative Cloud
subscription because it offers me a lot more options and a lot more versatility.
The pictures in today’s post
were processed and edited in Photoshop CC.
Be blessed and be a
blessing!
So wonderful you are sharing your photoshop skills and your thoughts on creativity! He does want us to share and not be selfish. That energy of scarcity runs hard through the blogosphere. But generosity begets generosity, and you are doing that. Thanks for the blessing of your words.
ReplyDeleteThank you Christina for taking the time to stop by blog and leave a comment. Your words are so encouraging. Blessings!
