Can God Be Found?

 

Let me introduce you to God…

Paul then stood up in the meeting of the Areopagus and said: “People of Athens! I see that in every way you are very religious.  For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god. So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you." Acts 17:22-23

All of us were created to worship – we will worship something or someone.

The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands. Acts 17: 24

Colossians 1:16 says, all things were created by God and For Him. In America there are two idols – religion and self. God comes first – it’s not about me, it’s all about God. He lives in every born again Christian –“it’s an inside job.”

God is the ruler of everything and the Provider of everything. He gives life and breath to everyone.

God is the revealer – we need to know Him, He brings a contentment in our lives. He wants us to know Him in an intimate, personal way.

Can God be found? YES! Seek the Lord while He may be found. Isaiah 55:6

All That is Within Me

If you are like me and have an iPhone, you've probably spent the last couple days trying to figure out all the updates. If you have more than one Apple device, such as an iPad, you've spent even more time updating it as well. Or maybe that's on your to-do list for today (or tomorrow). It's not a quick update, it takes a fair amount of time; then once you update, you've got to reset a few things. So, that got me to thinking, have I spent the same amount of time alone with God, reading His Word, reaching out to other believers, or witnessing to the lost? I must confess, my answer would have to be "no." God loves us so much, He rejoices when we call on Him, when we reach out to Him in prayer, and when we meditate on His Word. Good Friday

  Happy Good Friday   This is the day that we remember what Jesus did for us --- enduring beating, mocking, and being crucified.   I imagine his disciples did not consider it to be a “good” Friday at the time.
