Travel Adventures 2023 – So many places to go!
This year my
husband and I traveled to Reno, Lake Tahoe and Yosemite National Park. I took
lots of pictures but could only choose a few for this blog. I’ve included a
little information about each location we visited, along with a few pictures. Enjoy!
Lake Tahoe is
located on the border of California and Nevada. About two-thirds of the lake is
in California, with about one-third extending into Nevada at the north and
south ends of the lake, and the entire eastern shore.
Lake Tahoe is
the third deepest lake in North America and the 10th deepest in the world. It
previously served as a transcontinental route for first the railroad and later
highways. Tahoe’s deepest point is 1,645 feet near Crystal Bay. The average
depth of Lake Tahoe is 989 feet.
Next, we're off to...
Yosemite National Park was first protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
Yosemite Valley
is world famous for its impressive waterfalls, meadows, cliffs, and unusual
rock formations. The Mariposa Grove
of Giant Sequoias is the largest sequoia grove in Yosemite and is home to over
500 mature sequoias.
Enjoy your day and your summer!
Until next time!!!
