"In Him you are being built together into a dwelling place for God by the Spirit."     God's mercy plucks us from the destruction of our countless sins and place us in Jesus Christ's righteousness.   Our bodies are now the Temple of God! Courage: One Person with Courage is a Majority (Acts 4:10-13) In Acts 4 we see courage on display in the life of Peter and John. These two leaders wer thrown in jail for preaching and performing a miracle (vv. 1-4). When their captors ask about their ministry, Peter boldly asserts that the name of Jesus, not their own talent, had healed the man (v. 10). He also explains that salvation comes through no other name (v.12). What accounted for this boldness? Not education, but his experience with Jesus (v. 13) We all need courage to: . Proverbs 31: 28-29 I invite you to read the entire story of the Proverbs 31 Woman or The Virtuous Woman or the "Good Wife" (not to be confused with the TV show!) in chapter 31 of the book of Proverbs, verses 10-31. The writer says very little about her outward appearance but is more impressed with her inner qualities and her outward actions, he did not notice her looks. The description of her ends with the testimony of those who knew her best: her children and her husband. He will do even greater things than these, because I am going to the Father. – John 14:12 This is one of my most favorite scriptures, Jesus is calling us to do great things through the power of the Holy Spirit. We as Christ Followers aren’t suppose to lead ordinary lives and do ordinary things – we are so much better than that. We are suppose to live extraordinary lives and do extraordinary things. By allowing God to work in our lives we can become so much better than we are. Jesus didn’t die for us to sit on the sidelines and watch the game – we are suppose to be in the game making a difference. Greater = the life-altering understanding that God is ready to accomplish a kind of greatness in you life that is entirely out of human reach. Fun Things I've Learned so Far in 2014   2014 - I set out to increase my photography skills by learning new techniques. I bought the magazine, "50 Photo Projects" and below are two that I've completed so far - 48 more to go. The first on is called Polar Express! I did it using 2 clear plastic forks, my camera (of course!), lens, circular polarizing filter and my iPad as a backlight. I tried various arrangements with forks, spoons & knives but this is the one I really like. I set my camera to aperture priority and f/11   Water Drops - this took about 300 shots to get a single drop of water to drop like this! Just using a bowl of water, a Ziploc bag (something to hang it from), colored paper - I used cardstock paper and propped it against the wall, and my external flash (the flash freezes the water). The settings I used were - ISO 200, f/16, ss 1/250 sec and a shutter release. You can use different color paper to change the reflection and color of the wa...

1. Start taking care of yourself. If you don’t put a priority on your health and mental sanity, you will pay for it now and later. Not only will you be constantly overworked, exhausted, and stressed, but you’ll also suffer from the physical and emotional fallout that comes from not making yourself a priority. 2. Go to bed early and get a good night’s rest. Most Americans are severely sleep deprived. It’s no wonder they don’t have passion and purpose for life; they can barely keep their eyes open and their heads from nodding off! Refueling your sleep tank is important to being efficient during the day. 3. Make the most of your mornings. Getting your day off to a great start is one of the best ways to kick-start your productivity. Wake up a little earlier, and spend time building your faith by reading the Bible and praying. Increase the challenge of your project Try something you have never done before Change your creative method for the stimulation of a fresh approach Do things differently, do the opposite of the way you've always done things Create from a different point of view Create something artistic from the point of view of dog, the cat, a flower, an alien or an immigrant Look deeper to find your intrinsic motivation Forget about the goal and find the fun If it's not fun - figure out why not and make it more engaging for yourself Raise your eyes and observe the fields.
