The Best Yes

This week we're reading Chapters 7-9. Thank you to everyone who showed up to last night's Facebook Party! I am so humbled to see everyone searching the truth of God's Word. It's so much fun hanging out with you ladies on Thursday nights!

We are officially half-way through our study.
Some of you saw this post of Proverbs 7:4 already on Facebookā€¦

Our verse this week - "Get all the advice and instruction you can, so you will be wise the rest of your life!'" Proverbs 19:20 (NLT)

Wisdom gathers when you open the Word of God.

Wisdom scatters when you don't open the Word of God.

So let's make our days count and make our decisions count. HOW DO WE DO THIS?
"Set your hearts on things above, where Christ is, seated at the right hand of God. Set your mind on things above, not on earthly things." ā€“ Colossians 3:1-2

Will you be a wisdom-gatherer with me? I am on the edge of my seat sweet friends. Journal your answers to these questions.
  • What is your favorite thing to do when you feel frazzled?
  • What does your quiet time look like? How can YOU be intentional in getting quiet before God?
  • What does it mean to be a woman of wisdom? Reflect upon Proverbs 9:1ā€“18 as you consider your answer?
  • What wisdom lessons have you learned from opening the Word of God?
We never know how God will use us until we let Him! If we want to know God's direction, we have to listen to His instruction. This is how God showed his love among us: he sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him. 1 John 4:9 NIVUK

This week: Read Proverbs 4:25-27, it encourages us, God's Girls, to keep our eyes focused on what lies ahead ā€“ the best things. This is wisdom.

Talk to God about the releases you're struggling to make and ask Him to help you be steadfast in pursing the best things your heart truly desires.

Many blessings my sweet friends.

All That is Within Me

If you are like me and have an iPhone, you've probably spent the last couple days trying to figure out all the updates. If you have more than one Apple device, such as an iPad, you've spent even more time updating it as well. Or maybe that's on your to-do list for today (or tomorrow). It's not a quick update, it takes a fair amount of time; then once you update, you've got to reset a few things. So, that got me to thinking, have I spent the same amount of time alone with God, reading His Word, reaching out to other believers, or witnessing to the lost? I must confess, my answer would have to be "no." God loves us so much, He rejoices when we call on Him, when we reach out to Him in prayer, and when we meditate on His Word. He's so patient and so full of grace. I keep thinking back to the scripture: Deuteronomy 6:5 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. All means completely, entirely; for ...

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday   This is the day that we remember what Jesus did for us --- enduring beating, mocking, and being crucified.   I imagine his disciples did not consider it to be a ā€œgoodā€ Friday at the time. But what makes it GOOD is what happened on Sunday --- when Jesus did the impossible and rose from the dead.    Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.  ~ 1 Peter 1:18-19 ESV   One of the best ways of celebrating Jesus and His Resurrectionā€¦is through family traditions.    Family traditions can be as simple as attending  ļø  church and having lunch or brunch together.    Jesus was a story-teller. I believe he knew the power of a story to capture hearts and bring joy while effectively delivering a specific message. He often used parables to tea...
