The Circle Maker!

The Circle Maker!

This week we are reading Chapter 1 of The Circle Maker.  Go ahead and get started on that if you haven’t already, and we’ll be discussing that and getting to know each other this week at our Facebook Live session Thursday night at 8pm.

If you don’t have your Bible with you, download the free YouVersion  app to your phone.  I LOVE this because I have a Bible with me everywhere I go now!  I still use my real Bible, but it’s great to have a small little device that has a Bible on it with me all the time. You can go their website for information or just type in “YouVersion” in the search space of your App store on your phone or tablet.

Our memory verse this week is: “I call on you, my God, for you will answer me; turn your ear to me and hear my prayer.

We will be using a tool called “verse mapping” to help us delve into God’s Word. If you aren’t familiar with verse mapping, I want to share it with you today. We started using this if you were with us for the “Yes to God” and “The Best Yes” studies.

1.     We will be using this tool or one very similar throughout the study. Unpack our scripture for the week and share with us what you learned at our Facebook Party. Use verse mapping as an optional study tool. (Click here to learn more about verse mapping from  Heather Bleier or copy the following into your browserhttp://bit.ly/11j4zW2)

2.     This summer I did a Bible Study Tools series and I introduced another tool called “verse chaining” – here’s the link if you like to give it a try!

If you like you can unpack these 2 verses as well –
·       What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us.1 Romans 8:31 NKJV

·       Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans. Proverbs 16:3 NIV

Happy Mapping and/or Chaining!!!

All That is Within Me

If you are like me and have an iPhone, you've probably spent the last couple days trying to figure out all the updates. If you have more than one Apple device, such as an iPad, you've spent even more time updating it as well. Or maybe that's on your to-do list for today (or tomorrow). It's not a quick update, it takes a fair amount of time; then once you update, you've got to reset a few things. So, that got me to thinking, have I spent the same amount of time alone with God, reading His Word, reaching out to other believers, or witnessing to the lost? I must confess, my answer would have to be "no." God loves us so much, He rejoices when we call on Him, when we reach out to Him in prayer, and when we meditate on His Word. He's so patient and so full of grace. I keep thinking back to the scripture: Deuteronomy 6:5 - Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. All means completely, entirely; for ...
