Today is a New Day!

They (God's mercies) are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:23)

Often as women we are overwhelmed by too many things to do (Martha & Mary) because there are many choices concerning how we divide our time. Setting priorities is to determine what is important and how your time will be divided - who or what will take precedent over other parts of life.
  • Your personal relationship to Jesus Christ
  • Your commitment to home and family - spouse & children
  • Work/employer
  • Your service to God through ministries in the church and involvement in the community
Faithfulness describes who God is...No matter what you do, God cannot be unfaithful because He cannot deny Himself (2 Tim 2:13). He is steadfast and trustworthy. He keeps His Promises (Heb 10:23) God's presence is assured, even if we are unaware of it. He just want our obedience - obedience is better than sacrifice.

Radical obedience.  Iā€™ll be honest, that word ā€œradicalā€  means ā€œaffecting the fundamental nature of somethingā€ (dictionary.com).  God is calling us to fundamentally change the way we view obedience to Him.  He is asking us to let our thoughts and actions reflect what we say our hearts believe. That God loves us.  That God has a perfect plan for our lives that is better than our own plan.  That Godā€™s plan is for our good. <Ginny Blankenship #YestoGod>

All That is Within Me

If you are like me and have an iPhone, you've probably spent the last couple days trying to figure out all the updates. If you have more than one Apple device, such as an iPad, you've spent even more time updating it as well. Or maybe that's on your to-do list for today (or tomorrow). It's not a quick update, it takes a fair amount of time; then once you update, you've got to reset a few things. So, that got me to thinking, have I spent the same amount of time alone with God, reading His Word, reaching out to other believers, or witnessing to the lost? I must confess, my answer would have to be "no." God loves us so much, He rejoices when we call on Him, when we reach out to Him in prayer, and when we meditate on His Word. Good Friday

  Happy Good Friday   This is the day that we remember what Jesus did for us --- enduring beating, mocking, and being crucified.   I imagine his disciples did not consider it to be a ā€œgoodā€ Friday at the time.
