Lightroom Adjustments
These are some of my
favorite Lightroom adjustments in addition to the Basic panel. Lightroom, like
Photoshop, offers so much variety and flexibility when working with your
images. The best thing is it’s totally non-destructive. If you don’t like the
way it looks at any point just check the reset button!
Graduated Filter –
works by creating a gradated tonal blend between two points in your image. The
graduated filter gives you complete control over the changes you want to make.
It’s an effective tool for enhancing the sky in your images.
Clarity Slider –
helps bring out texture and brings out midtone contrast.
HSL Panel –
Adjust color sliders in this panel as needed; decrease the aqua and blue
sliders to make a blue sky bluer.
Angle Tool –
found under “Crop and Straighten” and straightens the entire image.
Dehaze Slider –
increases contrast and brings out tones in an image
Flip – flip horizontal to
change the perspective of an image.
Blue Primary Slider
– adds warmth and evens out skin tones. Also, decreasing Blue Luminance in the
HSL Panel adds warmth.
Distortion Slider –
gives a Fisheye appearance to an image and creates a rounded horizon.
Temperature –
decreasing the temperature cools the image; increasing decreasing the temperature
warms the image
Lens Correction –
I always check the enable lens profile corrections box to remove any lens distortion.
You might need to set a lens profile if you’ve not done so previously.
