What's in Your Heart?

Our hearts reflect our character - who we are as an individual. It's a inescapable quality, the real person hidden on the inside. It is said that "out of the heart, the mouth speaks." No matter how hard we try, what's on the inside will eventually come out.

What's in your heart? Is what you see in your reflection the same as what others see?

I Am Thankful

As we celebrate this Thanksgiving with family, friends and loved one; I just want to say how thankful I am for each and every one God has placed in my life – wonderful family and friends. Some for a reason, others for a season, nevertheless I am forever thankful and I love each of you dearly. Our lives overflow with things to be thankful for, and because God gives us the eyes to see how incredibly we have been blessed. He is good; His love endures forever. (1 Chronicles 5:13). Look around – the list of things we have is much longer than the things we don't. Thanks be to God for His indescribable gift! (2 Corinthians 9:15) Give thanks in all circumstances, for this is God's will for you in Christ Jesus. (1 Thess. 5:18)

Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. (Ephesians 5:19-20)

One week ago today, I said good-bye to my sweet little friend Phoenix. Although, it was most painful; I am over-joyed by all the happy memories and joy he brought into our lives. I miss him terribly but I am so thankful for the almost 15 years we got to share with him. He was loved by everyone. The Lord gave and the Lord has taken away; may the name of the Lord be praised. (Job 1:21) O Lord my God, I will give thanks forever. (Psalm 30:12)

I will praise the Lord with everything within me and I will not forget all His blessings and benefits. I will praise His Holy Name. Amen! (Psalm 103:2)

I Am Thankful!

Have an awesome day! Now good enjoy yourselves and eat too much turkey - I know I am!!!

Luke 18:8b (NIV) When the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?

Believing the Truth

Faith is believing in what is true. Faith has two elements: 1) being convinced of the truth, being certain of reality, having evidence of unseen things, and 2) believing, hoping in, embracing, seizing the truth.

Hebrews 11:1 (KJV) Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.

Hebrews 11:1 (NIV) Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see.

Because Jesus is God, He lives forever. Before the world began, He lived with God, and He will reign forever with Him. In Book of John, Jesus is revealed in power and magnificence even before His resurrection.

Jesus offers eternal life to us. We are invited to begin living in a personal, eternal relationship with Him now. Although we must grow old and die, by trusting (and having faith in) Him we can have a new life that lasts forever.

Through God’s Holy Spirit we are drawn to Him in faith. We must know the Holy Spirit to understand all that Jesus taught. We can experience Jesus’ love and guidance as we allow the Holy Spirit to do his work in us.

We can be changed as the disciples were and have confidence that our bodies will one day be raised to live with Christ forever. The same power that raised Christ to life can give us the ability to follow Christ each day.
