Friends

God created us to have great friendships and not to do life alone. As Christ Followers we have the greatest opportunity to be the type of friends that are always there, always consistent and always reliable.  One of the keys to life is to surround yourself with friends who will weep when you weep, rejoice when you rejoice, are blessed when you’re blessed and who will champion you on in all stages of life. There is power in friendships and so many good times to be had too.  Be that friend!

Spiritual Growth

The Pathway to Spiritual Growth      God wants His children to be the image of Christ but we do not grow in our faith unless we take action.      First, we are responsible for renewing our mind (Romans 12:2). Though God saves us and gives us a new spirit. He does not give us a new brain. Our minds have many trenches that have been dug or worn by rebellion, self-focus, or habit. That is why it is important to meditate on the Bible, which expresses the thoughts of God. Meditation is more than reading – it involves thinking about what the words mean and then applying truth. There’s no way to grow spiritually without absorbing Scripture into our thinking.      A second step toward Christian maturity is being ready to admit and assume responsibility for failure. When we deny our sins, we delay spiritual growth, but as we learn to confess wrongdoing, the opposite happens – growth is inevitable.      The third step naturally follows the second: after confession should c

Happy Labor Day

So long summer of 2018. You sizzled us, you soaked us, you satiated us. And like every other summer season, your sprint to Monday – Labor Day – seemed a blur. For many, Labor Day is all about capturing that last blast at the beach, backyard barbecues, school retail bonanzas and the grudging realization that sun-soaked play days are no more. Children, some as young as 5, were often fixtures at plants and factories. The dismal livelihoods fueled the formation of the country’s first labor unions, which began to organize strikes and protests and pushed employers for better hours and pay. Many of the rallies turned violent. Congress, at the urging of Cleveland in an overture to the

Things I Learned in August

Things I Learned in August… I participated in two Adobe Creative Challenges – a Photoshop Daily Creative Challenge. To complete the challenge, you needed to complete 7 out of the 9 daily challenges. The second, was the Adobe XD Daily Creative Challenge and the rule was the same – to complete 7 out of the 9 daily challenges.  Photoshop was a little easier because I use it almost every day XD was fairly new, I’d only used that program a few times. But I was determined not to be discourage, I was ready for the challenge! I completed all 9 of the Photoshop Challenges and 8 of the 9 XD Challenges. Here’s a collage featuring a of few of art boards I created for the Photoshop Challenge. One of the Adobe XD Challenges was to create an interactive survey. I couldn't get the link to work in the blog unfortunately. But here's one of the art boards I designed for this challenge: My work and the work of other creatives can be found on the Beh
