Good Friday

Good Friday Hello Friends! “Today is Good Friday. We remember that Jesus suffered for us on the cross.” My God, My God, why have You forsaken Me? Why are You so far from helping Me, And from the words of My groaning?
O My God, I cry in the daytime, but You do not hear; And in the night season, and am not silent. Psalm 22:1-2   While this Psalm was certainly true of King David in his life experience, it - like many Psalms - is even truer of Jesus the Messiah than of David. Jesus deliberately chose these words to describe His agony on the cross (Matthew 27:46).   Good Friday is a day of remembrance and reflection that our flesh can’t possibly comprehend. Our holy God hung on a human torture and execution tool. On that day He was still fully God and yet He was also fully human… so His words of forgiveness, promise, protection, provision, agony, human need, completion, and consecration are that much more profound.   When Jesus died on the cross,...

Herons

Great Blue Herons Herons are long-legged, long-necked, freshwater and coastal birds in the family Ardeidae, with 75 recognized species, some of which are referred to as egrets or bitterns rather than herons. Heron symbolism centers on  patience, balance, self-reliance, and quiet wisdom , stemming from their hunting style of stillness and sudden action, representing knowing when to act versus when to observe, bridging earthly and spiritual realms, and offering good luck or guidance in various cultures. They symbolize adaptability, transformation, and deep inner knowing, often appearing as messengers of change or protectors of waterways.   The great blue heron is a large wading bird in the heron family Ardeidae, common near the shores of open water and in wetlands over most of North and Central America, as well as far northwestern South America, the Caribbean and the Galápagos Islands.             #Bird of the Month #Heron...

Gratitude

Gratitude   Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. It turns problems into gifts, failures into successes, the unexpected into perfect timing, and mistakes into important events. It can turn an existence into a real life, and disconnected situations into important and beneficial lessons. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.
