For we Cheryl are is God’s [own] handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, [born anew] that we she may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us her [taking paths which He prepared ahead of time], that we she should walk in them [living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us her to live]. (Eph 2:10 AMP)
“Workmanship” comes from the Greek word poiema, which means handiwork or a careful work of art (something made or manufactured). The word poem is also derived from this word
As an artist seeks to express himself in his work so God expresses Himself in us. God goes before us and prepares the path in which we walk.
We are part of God’s “new creation” (2 Cor 5:17), and God continues to work in us to make us what He wants us to be. His purpose is to make us more like Christ (Rom 8:29}.
Oh WOW Cheryl I LOVE that ~ "God expresses Himself in us."!!! It is my prayer for HIS work to be more evident in my life!
