One of the things I love about the print edition of the Amplified Bible is that it can be a great concordance. It leads you on a trail to where similar verses can be found in the Bible.
My verse for today in my quiet time this morning was Romans 8:31 - "What then shall we say to all these things? If God is for us, who can be [successful] against us?" At the end of the verse was a reference to Psalm 118:6 - "The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can [mere] man do to me?" This then led me to read Hebrews 13:6 - So we take comfort and are encouraged and confidently say,
“The Lord is my Helper [in time of need], I will not be afraid.
What will man do to me?”
What will man do to me?”
God chose us, called us, justified us, and glorified us. He is for us. Our assurance of God's goodness comes through our relationship with Him. The world, the flesh and the devil are against us but they're no match for God!
