A
Few Christmas Verses!
"And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call
his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their
sins." Matthew 1:21
"Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us." Matthew 1:23 - His name, Emmanuel, means God with us.
"When they saw the star, they rejoiced with exceeding
great joy." Matthew 2:10 -
The Magi (these are the 3 wise men in your manger scene) were excited to see
the star pointing to the Christ-child. They “rejoiced with exceeding great
joy!”
"And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people." Luke 2:10 - We don’t need to be afraid. This news, this great joy (Jesus) is for all people. You.
"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth." John 1:14 - This one might be my favorite. The Word became flesh. Jesus was born just like me and you and walked among us on this earth.
May you have
the gift of faith
the blessing
of hope and the
PEACE of His love at
Christmas and always.
"Dear
friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves
has been born of God and knows God. Whoever does not love does not know God,
because God is love. This is how God showed his love among us: He sent his one
and only Son into the world that we might live through him." 1 John
4:7-9 - God is love. And He showed us this love by
sending Jesus so we could live fully through Him. And this is why we celebrate
Christmas.
