31 Days - Day 31

Well - I made it all 31 Days! Yeah!!!

Halloween is not a holiday that I celebrate but I do enjoy seeing all the children dressed in their costumes. My husband gets a kick out of giving out the candy and my dog runs and hides because he doesn't like to dressed in his little costume. This year he was a dinosaur but he wouldn't sit still long enough for me to take a good picture. The effect of this picture happened totally by accident! :-)

October 31st - means it's time to pull out my fall decorations and Christmas is just around the corner!

So I thought I end this 31 day blogging challenge with a few of my favorites quotes and acronyms that I've collected - I don't know where they all originated; plus a few scriptures from my journal. I hope you'll enjoy them. So, here we go...

"Don't expect your life to change if you aren't willing to change how you live"

"We need to allow God's Word to do a powerful work in us that through us He can produce the kinds of things that we read in Scripture"

John 14:12 - Christ wants us to do even greater works than He did.

1 Thessalonians 5:11 - ...encourage one another and build up one another.

"Only God can send the rain but He wants us to dig the ditches" - Steven Furtick

FEAR = false, evidence, appearing real. Fear & Faith can not coexist. Choose faith!

"Fear is not real. The only place that fear can exist is in our thoughts of the future. It is a product of our imagination, causing us to fear things not present that may not ever exist. That is near insanity. Danger is very real, but fear is a choice." - Will Smith

Don't live in "if only" or "what if" - Don't live in the past - Move forward. Know that you are loved by God. Refuse to live in fear. Be Positive. Recover from setbacks quickly. Avoid Comparisons. Take Action.

Galatians 6:9 - In due season you will reap if you do not quit.

Romans5:5 - The Word of God is for life!

God's way is better even when it doesn't make sense. Say what you believe, Believe what you say. Declare God's promises over your life. - I am who God says I am!

2 Cor 5:17 - God want to do a new thing!

Dreams don't work unless you do.

The pathway to God's best is paved with FAITH.

Faith is a muscle that must be exercised.

Run to God not away from God - Proverbs 18:10

God knows what's best for our lives - Romans 8:28

Phil 2:15-16 - Shine like the stars in the universe as we hold out the Word of Live.

"You never know when one kind act or word of encouragement will change a life forever." Zig Ziglar

Romans 8:20 - God is control of every aspect of our lives, every circumstance. God can work all things together for His good, He knows what's best for our lives.

Ephesians 1:3-8 - I am loved, I am blessed, chosen, adopted, favored, redeemed and forgiven!

May the Lord bless you and keep you,
May He make His face to shine upon you,
May you know that if God is four you, who can be against you,
With God on your side, whom shall your fear,
May you be like a tree that is planted by rivers of living waters,
that your leaves will not whither.

Good Friday

Happy Good Friday   This is the day that we remember what Jesus did for us --- enduring beating, mocking, and being crucified.   I imagine his disciples did not consider it to be a “good” Friday at the time. But what makes it GOOD is what happened on Sunday --- when Jesus did the impossible and rose from the dead.    Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold, but with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot.  ~ 1 Peter 1:18-19 ESV   One of the best ways of celebrating Jesus and His Resurrection…is through family traditions.    Family traditions can be as simple as attending  ️  church and having lunch or brunch together.    Jesus was a story-teller. I believe he knew the power of a story to capture hearts and bring joy while effectively delivering a specific message. He often used parables to tea...

Why God Wants to Bless You!

Why God Wants to Bless You!   “For to everyone who has will more be given, and he will have an abundance. But from the one who has not, even what he has will be taken away” (Matthew 25:29, ESV). Do you know that God wants to bless you? He wants you to have abundance, lacking no good thing. But He doesn’t want that for you and me so we can merely enjoy our lives. He wants us to steward our resources so we can be better able to reach out to others and bless them in His name. Jesus said in Matthew 5:16 (ESV),   “…let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.”   The goal is fruitfulness. The goal is God’s Kingdom. The goal is for God’s blessing to flow through us so we might be a blessing to others, to the glory of His name!
